Gums Pigmentation has a multifactorial etiology in tye gum lightening service. Most of the oral gums pigmentations are physiologic but sometimes it can be a precursor of severe diseases in the mouth.
Evaluation of a patient's gum presented with a gum pigmented lesion should include a full medical and dental history in gum depigmentation. the extraoral and intraoral examinations and even in some cases biopsy and laboratory investigations in the purple gums are required in this article.
we report a case of extensive physiologic gums pigmentation on the mouth in a 32-year-old. female patient, posing a diagnostic challenge in the purple gums problems.
The human oral mucosal epithelium is not uniformly colored in purple gums and several degrees of chromatic variegation may be observed in physiologic and pathologic conditions in the gums lighteninig service.
